YIVTOL’s single-seat S-ZERO has become the first ultra-light electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to receive a special flight permit from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which was granted in September 2025.

The S-ZERO features a maximum payload of 100 kg, a top speed of 70 km/h, and an endurance of 30 minutes, providing a range of up to 35 km on a single charge. The aircraft also supports rapid battery swaps, which can be completed in approximately 2 minutes.

According to Chen Yuan, Chief Operating Officer of YIVTOL, the S-ZERO is also the first personal single-seat eVTOL in China to obtain insurance certification. Following recently completed wind tunnel tests for its ultra-light eVTOL platform, the company has now begun global deliveries, with an initial batch of 40 units currently being dispatched to customers.
